Task 1

1. Websites have to comply with the DDA because it make sure that the Internet is suitable for everyone.
2. It came into force on 1st October 1999 and the final part of the force came in October 2004.
3. The penalties for non-compliance are they can go to court and they will launch a formal investigation.

Task 2

1. The three out of the eight principles of the Data Protection Act are:
Personal data must be kept up to date where necessary and accurate.
Personal data shall be processed in accordance with the rights of data subjects under this Act.
Personal data shall not be transferred to a country or territory outside the European Economic Area unless that country or territory ensures an adequate level of protection for the rights and freedoms of data subjects in relation to the processing of personal data.

2. The Data Protection Act applies to personal information and anyone who has your personal details like bank account or credit card details.
